Despite being predominantly Buddhists, you can see quite a few Hindu gods all over Thailand. This statue of Shiva and Parvati was in the lobby of the Crowne Plaza hotel where we stayed. Many Thai girls have Hindu names, of which 'Supatra' seems most common. The Indian equivalent of this name is Shubhadra.
