Recent improvements have meant better water buses, faster service and well signposted bus stops. Here is a typical one of them. From the road, a narrow passage leads to the river front, where a large landing platform is situated. The passage and landing platform are seen here. Safety regulations mean that this platform should be floating. A recent accident saw several poor schoolgirls trapped under a non floating wooden platform when it collapsed. Several lives were lost.
