A view of the Damuen Saduek Flt.Market
Sightseeing in Bangkok picture - A view of the Damuen Saduek Floating Market. This is one of the quieter moments. Peak activity is in the early morning, so many photographers camp here for the night and catch the market just after dawn. Note ad for 'sup' (soup) on the light pole. The boat in the foreground is selling Durian, a foul smelling spiny fruit which smells from a mile away and tastes like diesel. It is the Thai equivalent of the Indian jackfruit. Most hotels disallow durian inside their premises.
