The Damuen Saduek Floating Market near Bangkok is actually fairly close to the road. However, when you get there, the tour operators give you a ride of your life by putting you into low boats called 'klong's, which take you by a very circuitous route that takes at least half an hour. well, its an enjoyable boat ride. Here is what you see on either side of the ride. Low houses which open to the water. Parking of boats is to put them into sheds, then mechanically raise them till they are 3 to 4 feet above the water. We even saw two tier parking this way!
