Sanctum sanctorum of the main temple atop Batu Caves. The priest who arrived a tad early was a kindly soul. He listened to my wife's pleas and opened the shrine specially for us, a full half an hour before opening time. He also called me and asked me if I would like to photograph the idols inside. Note that the idol is caked in sandal paste. This is a periodic tradition in Hindu temples and is considered auspicious to those who are lucky enough to view it in this state.
