Despite the large and ever-growing population in South Korea, several areas of interest have been preserved through a national park system. Donghwasa Temple and Mt. Palgon are two of those places. The area is beautiful, especially in the fall of the year, and has become not only a major tourist attraction but also a favorite get-away for locals. In normal traffic conditions, it only takes about an hour to reach from downtown Daegu. But keep in mind, if you go on a Sunday, traffic returning to the city on Sunday night is brutal.
