A bumboat and British style bungalows mark Singapore's Colonial Quarter where Sir Raffles first landed with is entourage and established the colony of Singapore. You can see a whole lot of waterfront cafes on the other side of the river, which we could not explore unfortunately, as it was mid morning. The place is most active (and attractive for night photography) late in the evening.
