My wife and I are moving to Brookings in August 03 and will be there for the duration. No more beautiful area ( South Coast ) anywhere and I have been to many places in the U.S.. Thanks for the pictures

A different trip
Your picturesque trip along our west coast brings back lots of memories. In my working days I enjoyed a wonderful week each year in Oregon, and would drive from Portland to the coast and then south to begin my week in Klamath Falls and then work back north to Portland (visiting all the television stations).

While I am a devoted Californian, I must admit that your Oregon coast is more beautiful than ours, and with easier access from the highway.

The picture of the first Presbyterian church with that beautiful red tree in the the foreground was my favorite. Especially as we are having a very dull fall in Ohio after the drought this summer.

Dave and Frances: I love the pictures. The six grandchildren (oldest 5) just left and your pictures are a trip to the spa for me (and probably the closest I'll ever get to the Oregon Coast or a spa!) We have been having long arguments on types of sage, and your pictures of the Mexican sage settled one of them.

Peg is in France currently, following Germany and Italy. This trip was a gift from the gods to her; she has a strong French background in school, and this time the Europeans are granting the team time to see some sights. She is ecstatic and so am I. Love to you. Cath
