The landscape of Australia's Northern Territory is dotted with large termite mounds. As you follow the Stuart Highway north out of Alice Springs, you begin to see them dotting the landscape. As you head further north, they get bigger, and in some places the land has thousands of these in plain view. They are actually a tourist draw now.
