Denpasar: Bali's LOVELY capital city.

It was + 6 months ago when I published 2 Bali articles, I plan to publish the other +40 articles starting with this one. However, Bali at the present time invokes a very sad, negative thought [or anger to some] after that recent bombing incident which killed almost 200 innocent people, both locals & tourist. In all honesty & truthfulness, I thought of shelving these articles for the time being & simply present them in the future when the time is more seemingly appropriate.

I have to argue
I share your love for Bali and its people and its wealth of photo opportunities. We've been there often (our son Bill has a clothing and furniture business there) and intend to return regardless of the terrible bombings last month.

But I have to argue a few points. First of all, I've never thought of Denpasar as being a 'lovely' city. Busy, hectic, frustrating, overcrowded, noisy, too many motorcycles, yes. But lovely? Hmm. To me, most of the beauty of Bali is outside the city.

I also question your own questioning your using pictures of yourself. I think the reader is curious to know a bit more about the author, so a picture now and then is helpful. Besides, I'm guilty of the same crime!

Finally, don't stop showing your photos of this incredibly beautiful island. You know the routine: if you do, then they've won.

I'd like to say more. Maybe you'll send me your address.

Bali on my mind :))))
Thank you for bringing warm memories from beautiful and charming Bali. As you said "it was calmer then", we who all know Bali hope that life will return to normal (?) there. I will always have in my mind a very positive picture of Balinese people. Your comments and pictures strongly support my warm memories.
