We went to Whyalla for a visit, so I drove around and took some pictures. Whyalla is about 382 kms north west of Adelaide. It has around 25,000 people. My wife and I grew up here and of course we met fell in love and got marrried here.

BHP and the Shipyards were the main industries there when we were growing up but the Shipyards closed in the late 1970s. There used to be 35,000 people then and Whyalla was the second largest city in South Australia.
