The west coast North & South America is dotted with so many high mountain ranges due to the plate tectonic activities down below its ocean [the Pacific]. In the U.S. alone, we have several high mountain ranges whereby here in California, the "Sierra Nevada" houses Yosemite, Lake Tahoe (which you saw previously), & etc. However, the mountain ranges of the Americas are "dwarfs" compared to the Himalayas. *You can simply click my name "Eltneg" to view the beautiful sceneries of Lake Tahoe.
