I stayed at the Allegro twice once in 2005 & again in 2006 I loved it. This year we are staying next door at the Natura Park you can't beat the beaches the is a long stretch of secluded beach I think around 2 kms with no resorts. Can't wait I love Punta Cana.

Allegro Punta Cana, Here we come!
I just booked a vacation for August 7-14 today at the Allegro. I was just wondering if anyone has been there recently. This is my husbands first time leaving the states and I want him to have a wonderful time. Its always nerve racking going somewhere new, as you do not know what to expect. I was wondering if you could compare it to anywhere. I have been to Nassau, and a cruise to the Western Caribbean(St Thomas, St. Kitts, Grenada, Aruba) I was told it was closley compared to Mexico, but I've never been. My sister and I visited Punta Cana and had the time of our lives. It was our 1st vacation with out the family and it was great!! We enjoyed every thing. We've been & would like to go again
Hi, my name is Rebecca & I live in Tn. My husband and I went to the Dominican Republic last summer. - We stayed at the Grand Occidental Flamenco in Punta Cana. The place was very nice. - We went to Cancun for our honeymoon & decided to venture out of the country again for a trip. The beach was absolutely beautiful - covered with palm trees and a constant sea breeze. We have several memories of the place and talk about it often. We were there for a week, and it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Wish we could go back again!! - who knows, maybe we can?!

Check out bartender Clemente at the Sun Tan Bar. He was like Tom Cruise in Cocktail. I would definetely stay there again. I hated to leave this paradise.

The Dominican Republic is a beautiful country with wonderful people...I should know, because I was born there and lived there for five years thereafter. However, it is full of suffering that no one...not even the government has apid attention to. When you visit the Dominican Republic, although I myself do not live in these parts or in the country, check out the more poor areas and find out what life is like on the other side...behind the green hills lies a valley of shadow and hunger, a valley of poverty. When I do research over there in the summer, on behalf of Cornell University, I hope to explore these areas and learn more about why such a beautiful island is so oppressed by the people who run it. to all my fellow Dominicans...hang in there!
