The beautiful Apple Isle. Over the years I have travelled extensively through this beautiful Island State, and have yet to see it all. These photographs were taken in June 2002 (Queens Birthday long weekend)but unfortunately it rained like never before. Despite the inclement weather, Tassie produced it's best. We started at the Salamanca Market - excellent shopping. It was here that I first learned of a photographer named Peter Dombrovskis whose passion for Tasmania produced outstanding work. I tried to reproduce two of his photographs here, to illustrate the work of this genius, but unfortunately the quality of the photographs means that the file is massive and cannot be downloaded. Sadly Peter passed away on the 28th of March 1996, of a massive heart attack whilst photographing the West Arthur Range in the remote south-west part of the Island. Peter was a pure genius and his loss is a tragedy not only to Tasmania and Australia; but to the entire world. For those of you who would like to view the work of this genius, please visit http://www.view.com.au/dombrovskis/index.html You will not be disappointed.

My sincere thanks to Sarah CRATE of Tasmania Tourism, who **likes a challenge** and went beyond the call of duty to assist me with some challenging questions on her beautiful home state.
