Thank you for the comments on my Punta de Mita article. You are right that not too many people mentioned Nayarit state in their travel reports. It is interesting to note, that further north of Punta de Mita and San Francisco (on the way to Mazatlan) are located spectacular beaches and almost nobody around. Sometimes you can see Canadians or Americans spending their winter time in motor homes or mini vans. Still it takes a few days driving there from the Nogales at the US border, it is over 1600 km. We talk to many Canadians who spend winter on the beaches or in small fishing villages and really enjoy the hospitality offered by locals. Friendly regards, Rafal

I don't think anyone before had written an article or provided photos of Nayarit State, which is more-or-less an unknown part of Mexico. Now we see that it's going to be a viable alternative to other more hectic places, as well as being quite scenic.
