Thailand Oct/Nov 2002

We spent 4 Weeks in this beautiful and very friendly Country. The trip started in Bangkok (3 days) from where we wsent via night train (14 hours) to Chiang Mai . There we rent a Jeep and went to Pai which is a quiet and nice little Village. There is a lot to see in this area. You could easily spent 4 weeks just in the north. But a little beach is not too bad right? So from Pai we went to Soppong to visit the Tham Lot cave and the Market which is on tuesday and not on wednesday as it is written in some travel guides. Your trip also impress us
If you have a chance to visit us again, I suggest to visit Chiang-Rai. There are quite more interest than chiang-mai and Mae-hong-sorn. Anyway thanks for promote our attractive place. I am very appreciated that. Rgds,

Hi there ! Thanks for those beautiful pics of a country that is now my second homeland. Thai people are amazing ( I have now a family there ). Thailand is one of the most touristy country in the World, but it never lost its identity. Nobody may get bored by the thousands wonders of this country !

I agree with you that the Thais are very friendly! Along the Laotians, they're one of the kindest, good, & gentle people of the world whereas the long neck Karens & other hilltribe people of northern Thailand are so fascinating.

It is scientifically said that their necks are not really long, the rings simply pushes down the shoulder at an early age thereby making an illusion of a long neck. (Well, the necks does looks very long as contrary to science!)
