shops - wrong direction
...the 'Shops' photo is actually the heart of Clifton village, and very beautiful it is, too.

Bizarre that you missed all of the gorgeous landmarks - the Suspension Bridge, St Mary Redcliffe Church, the harbourside etc.

Bristol
It looks like most of these were taken in the Clifton/Redland/Horfield areas, The famous building you describe in the photo called Shots is the Victoria rooms at the top of the triangle in Clifton, also in the shot named shops was taken looking on the triangle the street is looking the other way heading towards park street, still on the triangle. Opposite would be Whiteladies road. Not bad for someone living in Los Angeles hey :)

Britol was also an aircraft company that produced some of my most favourite bi-planes ever, such as the WW1 Britol fighter and the rather niffy looking Bulldog.

Gosh - makes you wonder why they all don't want to come here and roll in the grass on their 1/4 acre section. If I was there I think I'd prefer a flat. But the basement ones would be too cold, dark and damp.
