FOCAL POINT: CAPTURING TRAVEL IMAGES,AND SAMPLING THE FINE WINES AND FOOD OF EACH CITY AS WE GO ALONG.... I am a native saint lucian with an appreciation for gothic ,german ,French neoclassical , rococo,and Baroque style architecture.I must give credit to my friend hans for introducing me to the art world. Hans is my German friend whom I consider to be a walking encyclopedia.Hans has the makings of an excellent tour guide he is well informed on German and European history and customs...................... We commenced our perfect vacation in Amsterdam,,,we landed at Schipol international airport,,took a taxi to our hotel and because our time was limited we hit the streets immediately.Took a city tour by bus,visited the diamond factory we saw how diamonds were process into expensive master pieces..........We did a water tour which was kinda relaxing and informative......It is now getting late and we were getting hungry.we decided to sample the local dishes....the food was succulent,well prepared, and nicely served.We were offered red and white wines and two or three types of cheeses.After dinner, we visted the red light section of town......girls, girls, girls, big bobs,small bobs,sexy and exposed to their bare pretty.........that too was a succulent sight for the strong at heart.........................Amsterdam is a cool safe city. Its now time to say adios to Amsterdam.Next stop will be Brussels prior to moving on to paris.Brussels will be a three hour stop.I like Brussels for the simple fact that I was able to communicate a little using my Saint lucian creole.......the cost of living in Brussels was to high .. for our limited buget.We left Brussels and in a couple of hours we were in the city of lights.We stayed in paris for 2 nights,because time was limited.. We raced to see all of the national land marks that paris is famous for..We saw Eiffel,Sacre Coeur,, ,L'ARC DE Triomphe,,,L'OPERA,,The Conciergerie, Les,Champs Elysees, Notre Dame,The Louve,La Defens,Place De La Bbastille,and the exotic Moulin Rouge. We are now totally exhaustd we decided to call it quits and seek out an affordable eating establishment........Next morning with the weather promising we set out to see the famous Versailles Palace.We saw the grille d'honneur,,la galerie des glaces,le bureau a cylindre du roi louis XV,,LA BIBLIOTHEQUE DE LOUIS XV1,,LE SALON DU GRAND COUVERT,,LE SALON DES JEUX DE LOUIS ,,LE CABINET DORE DE MARIE-ANTOINETTE,,THE FAMOUS WATER FOUNTAIN,THE GARDENS ,AND THE TEMPLE OF LOVE, We had an awesome time at Versailles. Paris is magical and romantic by night so we voted to take a night tour by boat.that to was impressive...WE ARE IN OUR HOTEL ROOM,PACKING FOR THE 7 HOUR TRAIN RIDE TO NICE..............PLANS CALLS FOR A 3 NITE STAY IN NICE......I fell in love with Nice it was love at first sight. .I was elated to see tropical trees growing in Nice. (lemons sugar cane oranges)plants that i could relate to..Next day we went to the flim festival in Cannes,Early next morning we visited Monaco we checked out Grace Kelly former palace.The high light of the tripe was having lunch at the palace grounds.( I had rock salt fish) Next day we departed Nice for Venice via Milano.Then onto Switzerland to see Zurich,and Lucern.We are now riding the ICI train heading for Germany,our first stop will be Munich,and then enchanting Garmish to see the dream castle of King Ludwig...The intoxicating beauty of the Alps is dazzling... .............ITS NOW ONTO KITZINGEN TO SEE OUR FRIENDS.................HANS HAD GOTTEN A NICE HOTEL IN THE HEART OF TOWN.OUR HOTEL WAS SIMPLE BUT CLEANED AND VERY COMFORTABLE.WE WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN.BREAKFAST WAS INCLUDED AND IT WAS THE BEST WE HAVE HAD IN ANY HOTEL IN Europe.THERE WAS SOMETHING FOR EVERY ONE INCLUDING WARM MILK FOR OUR COFFEE.IT WAS NICE SEEING OUR FRIENDS AGAIN. NEXT DAY HANS TOOK US TO WURZBURG,WURZBURG WAS DESTROYED DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR HOWEVER THE CITY HAS BEEN REBUILT THERE WERE A FEW HOUSES WITH ROCOCO FACADES.HE TOOK US TO THE PRINCE BISHOP RESIDENCE A MASTER PIECE OF GERMAN ARCHITECTURE.WE SAW SOME FAMOUS WINE VINEYARDS,AND VISITED THE MARIENBERG CASTLE.NEXT DAY WE VISITED THE CITY OF BAMBERG.THIS CITY HAS MANY IMPRESSIVE TOWERS THE OLD TOWN HALL IS UNIQUE.NEXT DAY WE VISTED THE HISTORICAL ROTHENBURG.ROTHENBURG IS THE ONLY TOWN IN GERMANY THAT HAS REMAINED INTACT AND VIRTUALLY UNCHANGED SINCE THE MIDDLE AGES......
