An hour's drive from Nelson is the beginning of the Abel Tasman National Park. On the way are numerous artist studios and wineries. Once at the park cars are prohibited. Access is walking or by water taxi or private boat. Nelson is ideally located to the park or an hours drive to the mountain lakes. No photos due to sand flies who viewed us as a frsh meal!
