The Bay of Islands is located about a 3 hour drive north of Auckland. This is the beginning of the top of the North Island. We've been told that the weather is the best in New Zealand. Coming here in early summer we have seen 3 seasons in 1 day! Despite the rapid change in climate when the sun is out this place is magic!
