Looking at your thoughtful snapshots one can hardly escape the irony that all these beutiful european buildings still stand in Cuba -of all places-. The magnitude of the cataclysmic racial devastation in Cuba is shocking. Just as shocking as when you visit any large American city. I am sure that in time the brown majority will tear down whatever remains of white civilization worldwide, for as soon as the last white man dies off, there will be no one else left to appreciate what white civilization accomplished through the centuries.

Hi Rafal! A long time I did not have the occasion to see a place through your eyes. Habana is such a wonderful place, representing well all the contradictions of Cuba. Cuban people are certainly the most lovely population that I met. Despite of an out-of-age political system, local people's warmth appears at every corner, especially in the Cuban capital. Your comments are very true and what you see is the evidence not of the American embargo (which does not help and is profoundly injust on the majority of Cubans who have to bear Castro's abuses and American myopia) but of Castro's stubborn dictatorship and ridiculous economic policies. To date, your editorial and photo documentary of Cuba are fascinating. It is a chance to see inside a world that, more than likely, I will never have the opportunity to see personally.
