In February we took a return trip to Sanibel to stay at Sanibel Moorings. We again toured the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. This time we took a cruise from Captiva to Cabbage Key.

Sanibel and Captiva took quite a beating from Hurricane Charley. Captiva was more badly damaged than Sanibel. Many of the large trees came down, and some of the vegetation is gone. Most of the houses had minimal damage, however. As a result many houses that were completely hidden from the roads are now visible with new plantings that will someday hide ... (more)
