Hanoi is a lovely old city. Many of the old houses are influenced by French architecture, with Chinese architecture playing a part in certain areas as well.

We stayed in Camellia Hotel whose staff was excellantly helpful and friendly. The receptionist even helped me valiently retrieve my lost camera which I had carelessly left on the bus that morning or these photos would not have materialised.

Walking around the Old Quarters was a wonderful experience, and the hotel guided map was very helpful in finding our way out of the maze.

In the evening we caught the famous Water Puppet theatre near the lake. However I ran out of capacity by then can could not capture it on film.

My last shot of Vietnam was a wonderful sunset over the city of Hanoi. In a sense, it was our farewell to Hanoi and Vietnam, but also a reminder that the sun will still rise on Vietnam tomorow, bringing a new day of hope to her.
