We needed a water day filled with adrenalin so we went to the Buller River. An hour and a half drive from home we had a thrilling day on 19 December.The drive to Murchison was a beautiful drive through forrest and farmland. We crossed the Owen River and learned that the cave system in the mountains is extensive. From what we were told there was a portion of the caves filmed in LORD OF THE RINGS.
