San Lorenzo Canyon is a BLM Recreation Area in the Chihuahuan Desert of New Mexico. It's located about an hour south of Albuquerque and about 10 miles north and west of Socorro. The wash that cut the canyon empties into the Rio Grande R. a few miles away. Dayhikes, backpacking, camping and OHV riding are some of the activities allowed. I've camped here myself, but, this last Sun. we were just out for the day and took a few photos.
