In this room here, so much history has been seen. This room is the location when Christopher Columbus first met Queen Isabella to discuss his voyage. Isabella was assessing her victory over the last Muslim stronghold in Spain, which was this palace. Since the Spanish treasury was exhausted Columbus was seen not as a risk, but as a great possibility for finding gold. Notice all the Islamic writing and architecture in this room.
