Dana Point, California is world famous for whale watching. From December through March, thousands of whales pass right by our coastal city on their 10,000 mile migration from the Arctic to Baja California and back. To celebrate this wonderful event, we hold the Festival of the Whales.
For two busy weekends in March there are art exhibits and walking tours, a kid's carnival and whale watching educational tours. There's a street faire and a harbor music series.
