This set of Photos were taken during a stay in the area in 1981. The photos are scanned from 35mm slides which have been in my collection since that time and have collected dust etc, so the quality has suffered. The holiday was for a month, staying in a Villa just south of Salerno, we were the guests of relations of my Brother in Law whose mother is a Italian living in England. The hospitality we received from the Italian people can never be repaid, and my memories of that time will live with me forever. Since that time I have spent nearly every year in Italy visiting this fabulous country which I have grown to love One of the many highlights of the holiday was our visits to the Amalfi area and this necessitated driving along the famous Amalfi Drive. I shot the photos over the month we were there and hope you enjoy them despite the reduced quality due to the ravages of time.
