My first *real* skiing trip. (My last trip to Lake Tahoe was interrupted by a series of storms, commemorated in my Storming through Lake Tahoe article.) Rob, Justin, Amy, Brahm, Robert, several of their friends, and I rented two cabins at Caples Lake Resort and spent two days skiing at Kirkwood.

Almost all of these pictures are from the second day, when I brought my camera with me. I spent most of my time with fellow beginners: Justin, Amy, and to a degree Rob (who has two days of skiing seniority over us). We covered everything from easy green runs to some of the more challenging blue runs, and Rob tried a black diamond run.
