The Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory is the centerpiece of the Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City. The Gardens themselves are just a small, quaint park, but the Bridge is literally a tropical oasis in the middle of the Oklahoma sprawl.

No, the Bridge isn/t actually made out of crystal. It is made out of acrylic and steel, stretching it/s 224 feet over a small lake.

The Crystal Bridge conservatory recreates an equatorial rainforest crammed into its relatively small structure. I don/t have a good enough camera to capture all of the beautiful plants and flowers crammed into this small space, but here is a taste:

  Waterfall  Greenery galore  Tropical rainforest  Some lovely yellow flowers

An /adventure trail/ (i.e. slippery rock staircase) leads upward around the waterfall to the tree-tops.
