Simone and I traveled from Praia da Pipa 4 hours by Taxi for only $120 usd, on the way we stopped at Joao Pessoa which is the 3rd oldest city in Brazil. We didnt see a lot there but the beach was very nice and the city is not one I would rush back to. Recife on the other hand was very interesting, its 2 cities really, Recife on one side of the harbour and the beautiful old city of Olinda on the other.

In Olinda there are lots of hills with wonderful views of the many colourful old homes and churches.
