Dalsnibba is quite an unusual peak (altitude 1,495 m above the sea level) in the region of Møre og Romsdal, since it is easily accessible by car, at least during the summer. Geiranger is the closest locality, since the peak is located just a couple of kilometers from this sea port. As you can imagine, the road is ascending dramatically. It gives you nice panoramas of Norwegian landscape in its variety. The same happens when you arrive to the top of the mountain. From there, a typical fjordland can be seen between NW and N. World of inland peaks and desert plateaus goes on between N and E. Between E and SE you will see a typical mountain valley, also with nearly no vegetation. Finally, between SE and W you will find another mountain ridge covered by snow during the whole year.
The trip is recommendable mainly for those who have no opportunity to reach some of other Norwegian peaks by feet in order to understand what is the mountain landscape about. So enjoy the pics!
