Upper New York Bay as seen from the open-air observation deck atop the south tower of the World Trade Centre. Liberty Island can be seen to the right of the picture. In the top left can be seen the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, the 2nd longest suspension bridge in the World after the Humber bridge in England. It spans the mouth of Upper New York Bay and connects the New York boroughs of Brooklyn (to the left) and Staten Island (to the right). July 1998
