On a 2005 Antarctica trip, I also spent some time in Santiago, Chile. Av. Liberador Bernardo O'Higgins, the Alameda, is the main road through the center of the city. The city center tourist sites lie to its north, but I found some interesting sites along and to the south of the Alameda.
