A daunting 809 steps leads to the summit of a hill hosting Phnom Suntuk. Here rests a pagoda and a whole flock of Buddhas, many carved into the hillside. Do Buddhas really come in flocks? Well?. This photograph is from the ceiling of one of the structures at Phnom Suntuk. I call it for all practical purposes, The Buddha with the Bicycle Pump. The Rough Guide describes this place as a kind of Buddhist Theme Park with its motly collection of statues. One of the attraction of Phnom Suntuk that helps it live up to this characterization is the "Miracle of the Floating Rock" Prominently displayed here was a large piece of pumous. We were invited to see this wonder. We seated ourselves and watched as an attendant picked up this large rock and put it in large fish tank. Alas it floated! The lucky few were able to purchase some of the water from this tank. Such wonders abound in Cambodia.
