During my August 2004 long weekend getaway to Juneau, Alaska, I had hoped to tour Glacier Bay. But with short notice and limited time, I didn't find a tour that fit my schedule. Instead I took a ferry to Gustavus. There it became a very successful whale watching excursion that ended in Glacier Bay's Bartlett Cove. After a short stop there, it reverted to a ferry again, bringing me back to Juneau.
