I arrived via overnight train from Hyderabad, in Bangalore after a 20 + year absence. Was picked up at the train station by the father of a student in Philadelphia. He also hosted me for my three days. I went to see my old house at Dacosta Layout in Cook Town, saw commercial street, Cubbon Park, MG Road, visited a wedding, went to Kuteeram - an incredible dance school and boutique hotel about an hour north of Bangalore - and had dinner at Leela, a fancy new 5 star hotel. Bangalore looks great - it's developing like mad, and the planners and architects are keeping up ensuring that the city is both vibrant and orderly and clean.
