<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> The Tzompantli<br> Sightseeing in Yucat&#225;n picture - The Tzompantli, or Platform of the Skulls, is a T-shaped platform decorated with row upon row of human skulls, apparently skewered on poles. Similar platforms were used in Aztec cities to display the severed heads of enemies, and it is possible that the Toltecs of Chich&#233;n-Itz&#225;, predecessors of the Aztecs in Central M&#233;xico, used this one for the same purpose. Perhaps the luckless losers from the neighboring Ball Court also ended up here. Who&#39;s to say? </div></nolayer></noembed>
