I took these on a day trip from Anchorage. I stopped in Girdwood to snowmobile (no photos of that) and then visited the Alyeska resort. It is an awesome hotel, upscale, but set in the mountains with a great ski resort. You can go to http://www.alyeskaresort.com and see about it and even see a live webcam of the ski area. I headed toward Seward but because of the icy road, and the immenent darkness, I did not get there. However, I did stop at Big Game Alaska. It is nothing big, but has some neat, live animals.
