Truong tien bridge was the only bridge crossed the Perfume River up to 1990. Since then a second bridge was built. As you notice this bridge is for 2 wheels motocycles and the new bridge is for heavy transportation (trucks/cars). In 1968 during the Tet' offensive the bridge was blown up to prevent the US Marine annd South Vietnamese army from re-capture the Citadel.
