Very fine 1980s German made Navis Neptun Metal Model #1105A of H.M.S. Barham. Mint boxed in original plain card protective box, unlikely to have ever been removed from the box. A very finely detailed model. Main turrets rotate. International recognition scale 1:1250 (approximately 1" = 100 feet). Length of model 6.2". This is as good as it gets for a tabletop Navy waterline model. The photograph shows the model positioned on its strip of double-sided tape in the middle of the opened out lower box. For shipping, the lower box is squared up, then blocks of packing foam are positioned on the extreme bow and stern. With the upper box top in position, squashing the foam, the model is held firmly in position yet nothing touches the fine detail of the gun turrets, masts and superstructure.
