The Battle of Matapan took place at night, so these are all library pics - the front cover of The War Illustrated conceals the top of &#34;B&#34; turret, but the other photos do not, and show a flying off platform on top of this turret - so these photos are rather earlier - very difficult to date them precisely, but they possibly date from the period when these ships had two funnels, ie 1920s.
