It took a while to get from Chiayi to Kenting, even though we travelled by the highway, as no one was in a hurry.

We stopped for lunch at the Republic of Beef, which is on the same grounds as a train converted into a cafe. The restaurant is best-known for mashed sweet potato and pig's feet, rather than its rather tasty beef noodles.
