These pictures were taken in Death Valley in April 2005. We where on a whirlwind tour of Sequioa National Park, Kern Valley, Death Valley, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon. I took over 1,200 pictures. Thank goodness for digital cameras! I don't think we could have chosen a more perfect time to visit they Valley- It never was hot (upper 60s at night, mid 70s prior to noon, and low 80s afternoon. It was rather windy, but I can't really complain about that. We were there for a day and a half. Two full days would probably have been better because we were not able to see everything we wanted to see. Most of the roads were still closed due to the water damage, but the park did not seem crowded at all. At many of our stops we were alone to enjoy the sites. I never thought I would want to visit the "desert" however, it was great. There is still some time to get there before the flowers are gone and the heat sets in for the summer. -Paul
