Orca's in the Arctic
A four day trip to Tysfjord in the arctic circle to watch Orca's (killer whales) in their winter hide out. Herrings come to winter in this fjord and the whales follow, We were lucky to see them carousel feeding where they frenzy the fish shouls into balls and whack them with their tails to kill them, then delicately eat them one by one. We also saw the northern lights. Stunningly beautiful but 21 C below freezing. Good for snorkling though as the gulf stream keeps the water at 8C.
