Many of the birds in Mauritius were quite unmindful of humans. These two birds from the pigeon family (probably turtle doves) did not budge even as I moved in pretty close and shot this picture with my Olympus Mju point and shoot camera at 105mm zoom! What I loved about Mauritius was the you could hear a bird sound every time your car slowed down! Imagine reducing speed and hearing a 'tweet', or 'pheeooooo' or 'chirp chirp'! I noticed this every day for all the three days were were on the island.
