this Articel is for showing you some wonderful Places in Vietnam. A Country which is really save even for Women Travelers. We started our Trip in Saigon and we continued in Comabodia first, see the Artivel amazing Camodia . Back to Saigon we went to Hue to see the Royal Tombs there. Before leaving Saigon I want to mention the Hotel Phoenix 74 in the 74 Bui Vien Street Dist . 1 Telnr 84. 8 8370538 . There you will find a Family Atmosphere with a special friendly Service . Thanks for leaving all our Luggage there. Ok now I will tell about Hue Of course there is much more to see in this Area. There is so much so recommend. Special Thanks to Mr. Do and his Group in the Stop and Go Café which has a special Atmosphere we enjoyed a lot. Mr. Do is a very carefully Guide (Motorbike was not my thing before) . We saw a lot more than on a Boat, even if the Parfume River is beautiful.
After Hue we went to Hoi An which was a beautiful Place just to stroll around and relax some Days. Be careful as it is a wonderful Place for shopping and we did it much too much . As my knee was hurt I couldn´t climb up to the Marble Mountain. We will do it the next time. But I don´t regret to stay 3 Days in Hoi An. A special Recommendation goes to the Café 96 which is not mentioned in the ´Travel Bibel Lonely Planet´ but which is simply the best in Town. Just try it..friendly and very good and cheap food even if it doesn´t look so nice from outside. Just go in and you will see it is great .
In Hoi An we found a Hotel which was really nice for it´s Price but be carefully when you leave and pay . they obviously make many mistakes in counting. The Hotel is called Thien Trung. Check your Money before leaving.
In the Mekong Delta if you travel by your own ( which I won´t recommend in the meantime ) you will meet some Guides on the Ferry (for example to Cantho the Name was Triet Quang Huanh) ) but you should check everything before you start for example if your Guide really speaks english .In this Area there are very less who do and this Guide charges too much for the Service . We made the experience to do it all by our own : We took the Hotel 31 which is ok for it´s price (7 Dollar for a Room) and the kitchen is really good even if the restaurant looks terrible after some people finished their meal . We also traveled to Rach Gia for taking the ferry to the island Phu Quoc, or what is new and not mentioned in the Lonely Planet yet is a speedboat to Phu Quoc. We were a little confused on the ticketcounter where the Ferry leaves, as there is nobody to help with the english language. Anyway we got the speedboat which takes only 2 hours to Phu Quoc . Everywhere in Rach Gia they are telling you that you have to book the speedboat 1 Day in advance but this is not true. You just have to be there early (7: 00 a.m) If there are any questions.don´t hesitate to contact me. Lonely Planet is good but sometimes it is better to go own ways.
Greetings and again thanks for all the nice Persons we met. This Greetings are going to Do , Bill, Peter from Denmark, Frank and Jacky from Hannover, Paulo and Caro from Cologne and many other nice Persons we met.
