Portrait of some Jewish prisoners heroically rising up against the Nazis. The Warsaw ghetto was the biggest in Europe. It has been recently remembered by Hollywood in Roman Polanski's "The Pianist" , much of which takes place in this ghetto. The "Pianist" won the Academy Award for best motion picture, best director and best actor of 2002.
