Vanessa and I were fortunate enough to spend some time in Dorset with our friends Janine and Mike. In just over 48 hours we visited the town of Wareham, Corfe Castle and Studland Bay. We also enjoyed a 9 mile hike along the beautiful Dorset Coastline around West Lulworth. This hike was the highlight for me on what was a very enjoyable two-day holiday.
The weather was warm and sunny, unusual for April in England. The sun, coinciding with the Easter break, attracted tourists in droves. In spite of this, we encountered very few people on our long walk along the coast, allowing uninterrupted views along the spectacular countryside. The tourists were largely focussed on the towns and villages, indulging in McDonalds and fish and chips, warm ale etc.
I would recommend a visit to this part of England to anyone. Enjoy the snaps.
