One small beacon of light on the long flat trip from Darwin to Alice Springs was Daly Waters, a "town" with a population of about 23. Really. Of course in Australia 23 is about ten times the number of people a town requires to justify a drinking establishment, therefore, the Daly Waters pub exists. In full splendor! Because there's virtually nothing to see on this highway, this pub needs to be made as entertaining as possible, so travelers from everywhere put up all sorts of crazy crap on the walls. Excitement!
